We Work in the Community

Giving back means a lot to us at North Shore Veterinary Clinic and is part of our commitment to the community. We are involved in a variety of initiatives and organizations. Learn more by checking out the links below and check us out on Facebook to stay connected.

Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association (VOKRA)

VOKRA is a committed group of volunteers dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of homeless or unwanted cats. We provide medical care, vaccinations, pet identification, and spay and neuter surgeries at reduced rates to help them achieve this goal.

MS Fundraising

The North Shore Veterinary Clinic proudly supports MS. We greatly appreciate our client's support and donations in reaching our goals.

Katie’s Place Animal Shelter

The North Shore Veterinary Clinic proudly supports Katie’s Place Animal Shelter, a volunteer-run, no-kill animal shelter located in Maple Ridge.

Little Paws Rescue Society

Little Paws Rescue Society is a non-profit rescue group in Greater Vancouver that is dedicated to rescuing small dogs all over British Columbia. We provide discounted services and medications for the animals in their care.

BC Children’s Hospital Foundation

We support BC Children’s Hospital by wearing our pins and jeans and donating to a great cause.

The BCSPCA Treat Week

The British Columbia Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Animals is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. We are proud to support them by participating in the National Cupcake Day to raise funds on behalf of the animals of B.C.

Canadian Cancer Society Daffodil Campaign

Every April, our staff participates in the Daffodil Campaign in support of the Canadian Cancer Society.
Together, our actions speak louder than cancer.

PINK Shirt Day

In February, and throughout the year, CKNW Kids' Fund's Pink Shirt Day aims to raise awareness about programs that foster children’s healthy self-esteem. On February 27, we encourage everyone to practice kindness and wear pink to symbolize that you do not tolerate bullying.

North Vancouver School District

We support local schools with their career placement programs, giving students an opportunity to see if Veterinary Medicine is a career choice they would like to pursue.

Our Team in the Community

Doris Leung is the regional director of Community Veterinary Outreach (http://vetoutreach.org), an organization that helps improve the health and well-being of marginalized pet owners and their companions in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.

Critter Care Wildlife Society

If injured wildlife is discovered we will set up accommodation at our clinic until one of the wildlife association volunteers can pick the critter up.
